Staff at Clockwise decided this year to contribute their usual spend on a Christmas gift for a colleague to a Charity instead. The tradition of pulling a colleague’s name from a hat was continued – but names of individuals were swapped with names of their chosen charities.
‘Dreams Come True’, a national children’s charity whose mission is to enrich the lives of children living with serious medical conditions, was the admirable winner and was entered by Claire Pestana, Marketing Manager.
“It is a charity close to my heart, as my children have a good friend who has benefitted from its initiative. Ella suffers with a rare life limiting condition. It was her and her mum’s dream to have a holiday in Spain together to make some memories before her life became more challenging for her. Dreams Come True helped to make that a reality for them.”
The Clockwise team are pleased to be donating to such a worthy cause, and at a time of year that is so heavily associated with the fulfilment of hopes and dreams. From this comes the realisation that Santa is not the only one who can make these dreams a reality. We can all play a part.
